She's beautiful, she's wonderful

She's kindness personified

She'll take the least

So we could have the best

She touches the world

She turns it green

She touches your heart

She makes healing an art

She tends to her roses

She paints my sky blue

She's a woman like no other

She - is my mother

   before they go
Show up for work early
Stay over if they have to

Spoon-feed you if they must
Cheer you once for #1
Cheer you twice for #2
Weigh it  if she has to

Bed rest they can impose
But best get up
Unless you have a doc's excuse
Or a cervical collar for a noose

And if there's one in your family
Suck it up and and get over the flu
Emesis, "diarhese", show some proof
Otherwise get on the bus
(and don't forget your homework)

But whatever you do
Lest you get a shot
  without lidocaine
Greet them tomorrow and say
"Happy Nurse's Day"!
